
His first business venture, a woodworking business, got its start when he won the most prestigious award for business & entrepreneurial excellence from The Franklin P. Perdue School of Business. He then went on to become a Certified Public ACCOUNTANT (CPA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified in Financial Management (CFM) also winning distinguished examination performance awards. He has spent 15 years in public accounting and private industry, working for companies such as McGladrey & Pullen, one of the top five public accounting firms, and also passed the Series 65 and Series 66 securities examinations, expanding his knowledge of securities laws, financing, and capital markets.
Kirk has always been intrigued by the relationship that business processes & internal controls has on reducing business RISK. His interest led to recently becoming a certified member (CFE) of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners which focuses on the education, prevention and detection of global fraud
Kirk is past president of South Philadelphia Diversified Investors Group (DIG) where he presented on topics of finance, tax and real estate. He has also been a mentor and instructor at American Real Estate Investors Institute and taught real estate INVESTING classes at Delaware County Community College. He has received advanced communication and leadership training through Dale Carnegie winning the highest award for achievement..
